Dear Mr. Trump,
The poor RNC…they really don’t know what to do with you.
When playing poker it’s important to understand the value of the cards in your hand. Not to mention the all important poker face. And who could forget the timeless advice to always keep your cards close to your vest.
I’ve come to the conclusion that the RNC hates playing cards…it’s the only explanation for why they suck so badly at it. Of course, my guess is based on the latest move on your part…they’re just as bad at chess.
How on earth did they decide that getting you to sign their pledge was more about you controlling them, then the other way around? I’m willing to bet they never asked you to define your phrase “play nice”. It’s rather embarrassing watching as you openly humiliate them with their paper promise.
But that’s how it works in politics now-a-days, isn’t it? They’re being out maneuvered by you because they have spent most of their political careers negotiating from a position of weakness and not strength.
When people live in fear they have a tendency to limit themselves and their interactions with others. Those limitations may very well increase in size as time goes on. If left unchecked they can develop into quite the neurosis.
The RNC is no different…this election cycle they are living in fear. And they are afraid…very afraid. They’re afraid because:
It’s that last one that really has ‘em going nuts.
(Btw…this list is far from complete.)
The pundits throw up their hands in defeat because they aren’t used to dealing with someone who knows a thing or two about putting together a winning deal.
And then there’s the whole business concerning your eventual implosion. You know…the one where you go off script and say something that really, really hurts someone’s feelings somewhere in the known universe. You better get moving on that one…time’s running out and the Rino’s are depending on you.
I find it interesting that the same topic responsible for taking out the venerable Dr Carson is going to do the same for one Senator Rubio. That TPP sure is a nomination killer. Good thing you staked out your position when it first came out. No need to guess where you’d be in the polls if you got that one wrong!
Too bad that darned TPP is stained with the fingerprints of both the Democrats and the Republicans. The Democrat position on this one isn’t a surprise really…the Republicans on the other hand are a major disappointment here.
The best part of the TPP is that it puts a big ol’ shiny spotlight on the Republican-In-Name-Only…you know, that friendly bunch of fellas who’ve been hiding in the weeds of the Republican caucus and giving our dear president every little thing his heart desires.
But then…that’s why you’ve been leading in the polls. Nationwide
They’re wrong, you know…about you and a host of other topics. They’re wrong about you going third party and how that whole scenario would play out. Collectively they have developed an eye twitch…the Perot Eye Twitch…based on the humiliation handed to them by Ross Perot and his third party independent run (which gave the Democrats their Clinton White House).
History can be an odd bedfellow. It can serve as either a compass or a big yellow caution sign. In this case, it’s been used to paralyze an entire political party. It strikes fear in the hearts of those who choose to completely comply with the vocabulary of political correctness.
But this isn’t 1992…and the Clinton running this time has never been publicly described as a sexual predator. As the Republican front runner you’re not afraid of disclosing policy details (as Mr. Perot was wont to do) and you’re not at war with your advisers (another Perot-ism).
This time the numbers are on your side…there are more of us then them. Thanks to you, the political tightrope has been unilaterally untied and as a result, well yours is one of the most powerful voices in the world right now.
Keep stoking the flame of patriotism…We remember what it was like to be proud of being American. We hate losing…and we’re not going away anytime soon.
Watching from the sidelines,
Roger J Conway

The RNC is no different…this election cycle they are living in fear. And they are afraid…very afraid. They’re afraid because:
- you’re fearless
- you play to win
- you can’t be bought
- you don’t need them
- you stay on message
- they can’t control you
- you’re not one of them
- they don’t understand you
- you’re not politically correct
- you don’t need a teleprompter
- you won’t “play nice” with them
- their pledge isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on
- your message is reverberating all across America
- there’s a good chance you’ll be the first true outsider to win their primary
It’s that last one that really has ‘em going nuts.
